We've done our best to compile a list of the most frequently asked questions we receive regarding tennis in the Asheville area.  If we haven't answered your question, shoot us an email!

How can I recycle my tennis balls?

You may have noticed a big green box at Aston recently? ATA's junior board member Jia Hind has begun a pilot program to RECYCLE BALLS! Drop off your used tennis balls next time you play. We are looking for a sponsor for this program for 2023, contact us if interested!

HOARDER ALERT! If you have LOTS of balls stockpiled already, you can ship your own box to get started with a tax-deductible donation: https://www.recycleballs.org/quicklabel-program-and-form/

Does the ATA sell memberships to belong to its organization?

Our first year selling memberships was 2019, and this was paused in 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions. We do not plan to revive this at this time and will focus on other fundraising efforts.

If I don't belong to a tennis club, where can I play?

The Asheville area has several public tennis courts that are open to the public. Aston Park Tennis Center has 12 clay courts available to the public for a nominal fee.  Their facilities are open from April through November.  There are additional public courts throughout the Asheville area. The City of Asheville maintains tennis courts at Kenilworth, Montford, Malvern Hills, Oakley and Weaver Park.
